Albuquerque, NM – Belcan, LLC announced today that Schafer Aerospace Inc., part of Belcan’s Government Services segment, has been awarded a Professional Technical Support Services (PTSS) contract with the Joint Directed Energy Transition Office (DE-JTO), with a contract ceiling of $38 million.
Under the PTSS contract, Belcan will continue to provide advisory and assistance services (A&AS) to DE-JTO with contributing subject matter experts in laser sources, beam control, atmospheric propagation, lethality, modeling and simulation, and advanced high energy laser (HEL) concepts. With over 15 years of providing A&AS to DE-JTO, Belcan is familiar with all DE-JTO processes and procedures, from S&A requirements to Technical Area Working Groups (TAWG), as well as Broad Agency Announcements (BAA) and Multidisciplinary Research Initiatives (MRI) that produce high energy laser state-of-the-art advances.
We are honored to have supported DE-JTO’s mission since 2002, and our team of directed energy professionals is looking forward to bringing the same high level of consistency and dedication to additional high energy laser programs across the agency.
