Schafer Corporation's Technology Management Division (TMD) is a leading provider of Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) and Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) services. These services range from scientific consulting to space operations support. TMD's staff of experts has worked on programs that are revolutionizing the nation's cyber-defense, space situational awareness, and nuclear detection and counter-drug interdiction. The work they do has the potential to positively affect the lives of American families for decades to come.
The TMD staff provides a wide variety of services, including program management, scientific consulting, financial and acquisition management, high-end graphics design, and conference planning. We support some of the nation's leading science and technology (S&T) organizations and space operations organizations.
One of TMD's principal clients includes the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Schafer's TMD staff members work on a wide variety of programs for DARPA. For example, we support the Information Innovation Office (I2O), assisting in a host of programs aimed at revolutionizing the way individuals look at, think about, and share information—I20 scientists are direct descendents of the DARPA pioneers that invented today's Internet. Other Schafer TMD staff members are working on programs from the extremely small—such as our support to quantum computing—to the infinitely large—such as our efforts in space operations. Large or small, our work within the DARPA arena has a major impact on our national security.
We also support the leader in Space Operations – the US Air Force Space Command (AFSPC). TMD staff members are partners to every AFSPC Directorate, providing expert advice on everything from Intelligence gathering to space acquisition.
At the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) we support the Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate in the area of cyber defense and the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO). Our staff at DNDO provides support across the entire organization, assisting DNDO scientists, engineers and operations specialists in their vital mission of preventing nuclear materials from entering the US and its territories.
Other S&T clients include the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Agency (IARPA), and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
