Schafer's ASI division is comprised of highly motivated IT systems, applications, and enterprise architecture experts who thrive on creating solutions that deliver exceptional real-world results. Since its inception in 1999, agile development methodology has been used for all of our engagements with Fortune 1000 companies and large military services organizations. Schafer acquired ASI in August 2010 to lead its agile software development initiatives. ASI's experience with the defense industry includes development of the Mobile Field Kit (MFK) for the US Army's 20th Support Command's tactical teams WMD Defeat missions and support to the US Transportation Command in implementing a DODAF-aligned, model-driven enterprise architecture and underlying service oriented infrastructure. Schafer ASI also currently supports the US Army's Chief Information Officer (CIO) G6, Battle Command and Communications-Electronics Research, Development, and Engineering Center (CERDEC) organizations on various SOA initiatives and pilot activities, as well as the CIO G6 sponsored 'Apps for the Army' program.
