Steve Elfanbaum is Schafer Corporation's CIO and the Vice President of Asynchrony Solutions, Inc. (ASI). As Schafer's CIO, he directs the company's planning, assessment, acquisition, and management of IT systems and resources. His proven expertise in both the technical and management aspects of business operations help drive new business initiatives and improve overall service quality.

Prior to Schafer's acquisition of ASI in August 2010, Mr. Elfanbaum served as President of Asynchrony, and as lead technical consultant and program manager on multiple projects for the US Department of Defense and Fortune 1000 companies.

Prior to helping found Asynchrony, Mr. Elfanbaum had 11 years of systems design, development and implementation experience with Fortune 100 companies. He has been responsible for assessing and managing the systems architecture for both GE Capital Mortgage and Deutsche Financial Services, and is also a published technology author, instructor, and speaker.
