Richard Sawchak is Schafer Corporation's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for finance, contracts, planning, and governance.
Richard Sawchak is currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Schafer Corporation and its subsidiaries. Mr. Sawchak is responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, contract administration, compliance, pricing and treasury. Prior to this role, Mr. Sawchak served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Paradigm Solutions. He was responsible for all finance, accounting, corporate development, recruiting and IT functions. Mr. Sawchak has extensive experience in financial management, corporate financing and executing and integrating acquisitions in a public company environment. As Senior VP and CFO, he was instrumental in repositioning the Company for revenue and earnings growth while leading Paradigm's focus on its core Federal mission. Mr. Sawchak was also the Company's corporate secretary.>
Previously, Mr. Sawchak was the Global Director of Finance of GXS, Inc., a leading provider of On-demand Supply Chain Management services and software offerings. Mr. Sawchak was extensively involved in the purchase and integration of three acquisitions, one strategic alliance and the refinancing of over $400 million in total debt. During his directorship, he established a global professional staff which successfully streamlined operations, including staff reductions, and enhanced Board of Directors reporting packages, consolidated management reporting and co-lead the streamlining of the book close process.
From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Sawchak was the Director of Finance and Investor Relations of Multilink Technology Corporation and in 2000 he was Senior Manager of Financial Targeting for Lucent Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Sawchak holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Boston College's Carroll School of Management where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He holds a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurial Finance and Strategic Cost Management from the Olin Graduate School of Management at Babson College.
