Chuck Culbertson is currently Vice President and Business Division Leader for Schafer Corporations Technology Management Division (TMD), where he supports programs for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Air Force Space Command, Northern Command and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). Mr. Culbertson joined Schafer in 2000 as a General Manager. Mr. Culbertson is a member of several technical and military associations and has worked for the Center for Strategic and International Studies where he participated in a number of congressionally mandated studies.
Prior to joining Schafer, Mr. Culbertson served as a Senior Vice President and the Chief Operating Officer for ISX Corporation, an advanced technology software company. At ISX, Mr. Culbertson was responsible for managing the corporate operations and support staff. He was charged with overall corporate profit and loss responsibility and for business development with a wide variety of customers, including DARPA, the National Institute of Justice, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the NRO. He was also responsible for commercial customers in the pharmaceutical and oil industries. Mr. Culbertson was with ISX from 1994 through 2000.
Mr. Culbertson was on active duty in the US Air Force from 1969 through 1994 — retiring as a Colonel. He holds an MBA from The George Washington University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Louisiana.
