Lance Kwasniewski has over 25 years of leadership experience within the construction, industrial equipment, and services industries. Lance’s career with Belcan has spanned 20 years of progressively increasing responsibility, advancing from business development, central services management, and general management to senior leadership positions across multiple divisions, consistently driving and producing exceptional business outcomes. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). Lance holds a BA in Business/Communications and a Master of Business Administration, and completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Program.
President, Schafer | Belcan Government Services (BGS)
Lee Shabe is President of Belcan Government Service (BGS). He is responsible for leading the efforts to strengthen Belcan’s relationships with customers by providing exceptional scientific, engineering and technical services. Lee emphasizes the importance of communication, trust and relationships, and sets this example with a genuine open door policy. He holds his team accountable and sets a high standard of customer service to achieve the level of reliability, honesty and integrity BGS customers depend on.
Lee was President and General Manager of the Global Solutions Business Sector of L-3 National Security Solutions, which provided a full range of cutting-edge solutions in Big Data, data science, data analytics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise and mission IT to the public sector, international and commercial markets. Lee took the time to meet with internal subject matter experts, thus further deepening his knowledge and understanding of the customer’s mission.
Lee was also Vice President of Data Tactics before it was acquired by L-3 National Security Solutions in 2014. He was responsible for the oversight of multi-million dollar contracts and resources worldwide, including the Army’s DCGS-A program and DARPA’s widely recognized Plan X program, the foundational cyber warfare program to develop platforms for the Department of Defense to plan, conduct and assess cyber warfare in a manner similar to kinetic warfare.
Lee spent six years volunteering with the International Justice Mission, where he led global human trafficking investigations that targeted countries and establishments that were involved in the selling and enslaving of minors.
As a former special agent in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), Lee was the team lead for the initial push of OSI into Baghdad at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in support of the State Department. He also directed initial counterintelligence activities in support of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA), and planned, implemented and led joint forces in operations targeting terrorist groups operating within Iraq. Lee’s ability to build trusting relationships with foreign leaders was integral in accomplishing the mission at hand.
He holds a Master of Science in Information Security, a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
Senior Vice President, Public / Government, Schafer | Belcan Government Services (BGS)
Scott Briggs is Senior Vice-President of the Government Strategic Business Unit for its Belcan Government Services (BGS) Segment. He is responsible for leading Belcan Government Services’ scientific, engineering and technical teams to deliver the highest standard of service to Belcan’s customers. Having served more than 30 years in the Navy and the Navy Reserve, Scott has first-hand experience and a deep understanding of our country’s national security mission.
Prior to joining Belcan, Scott pursued parallel careers in both the Private Sector and the United States Navy. His active duty assignments include the USS Thorn (DD-988) and USS San Jacinto (CG-56) where he conducted Anti-Submarine Deployments and Vehicle Boarding Search and Seizure (VBSS) Operations. For his shore rotation, he served at Fleet ASW Command Atlantic on Instructor Duty.
After ten years, he left active duty to pursue opportunities in the Private Sector. While in the Private Sector, he enlisted in the US Navy Reserves as an Intelligence Specialist where he rose to the position of Master Chief Petty Officer and served for over 20 years. His tours included Atlantic Intelligence Command, Joint Forces Command, Patrol Squadron 64, Defense Intelligence Agency, Combined Joint Forces Task Force-Seven (CJTF-7, deployed to Iraq in 2004), Office of Naval Intelligence, and being a member of the faculty of the US Naval War College, Senior Enlisted Academy. He has served as a Command Chief, Command Senior Chief, Senior Enlisted Leader and Senior Enlisted Advisor for several Intelligence Commands.
His private sector positions of the last 23 years began with technician jobs and advanced towards more challenging and supervisory positions. He worked as an Engineering Technician in satellite and telecommunications before being promoted to Project and Program Manager positions designing advanced wireless networks for Lucent/Bell Labs. After September 11th 2001, he worked for a Counter-Terrorism consulting firm training Federal and State Law Enforcement on Information Sharing and Intelligence Operations. He moved into the Defense Industry as a Program Manager and Executive Director of System Engineering across multiple contracts and customers. Recently, he worked as a Director of Business Development across DoD and Federal Civilian accounts.
Vice President, Finance, Schafer | Belcan Government Services (BGS)
Bob is Vice President of Finance at BGS. He will be responsible for managing and overseeing all finance, contracts, pricing, procurement, and accounting functions, as well as M&A activities for BGS. Bob brings over 10 years of investment banking, corporate finance, and operational experience in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government (ADG) sector. Prior to joining BGS, Bob was Vice President at Bluestone Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank exclusively focused on the ADG sector. During his career, he has advised on numerous M&A and financing transactions for a variety of public and private clients, including representing Kemtah in its sale to Belcan. Prior to his position with Bluestone, Bob held senior financial positions at Schafer Corporation, where he was an integral member of the corporate finance team and supported all aspects of the company’s corporate and business unit financial management, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, contracting, and M&A activities. During his tenure, he was involved in several of the company’s acquisitions, divestitures, and refinancing activities.
Bob received a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.
Vice President, Growth & Strategy, Schafer | Belcan Government Services (BGS)
Rodney joined BGS in May 2017 as the Vice President of Growth and Strategy. Core responsibilities include the creation and implementation of the overall growth strategy for professional services and managed service offerings to Federal Government organizations.
Rodney’s background includes over 20 years as a US Army Special Forces operator with duties that included Operations Management, Military Intelligence, and Medical Practitioner in such areas as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Following his retirement, Rodney has held positions ranging from Tactical Operations to Corporate Vice President.
Rodney fulfilled positions as a Planning and Operations Manager on an Irregular Warfare Support Program in support of the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) in counter terrorist missions; a Vice President of Products, Services and Support for a complex analytics software organization; an Operations and Integration Manager for the New Technology Advisory Team supporting the Tactical Cloud Integration Lab; A Strategic Development lead for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), and most recently as a Vice President of Analytic Solutions, where he conceptualized and implemented an Analytic Solutions practice by applying strategic development, and business model methodology experience.
Rodney is a graduate of Liberty University as well as multiple Military Leadership courses including Joint Military Operations Planning and Execution.
Vice President, Technology & Innovation, Schafer | Belcan Government Services (BGS)
Clint Green joined BGS in May 2017 as the Vice President of Technology and Innovation. Core responsibilities include providing the technical roadmap for BGS in support of our Federal Government customers.
Clint’s background includes over 20 years in the technology industry. Clint has supported various companies ranging from OEMs to Large Services Integrators (LSIs) to start-ups. In these roles he has always provided guidance and input into advancing the solutions and technology he was supporting. As a forward thinker able to understand complex problems and solutions he often found himself put before customers and senior leaders to architect advanced solutions.
Clint fulfilled positions as Vice President of Global Services at Koverse, a Big Data and Analytics start-ups; a Vice President and CTO at L-3 National Security Solutions; a CTO at Ascolta; and most recently as a Director of Advanced Analytic Strategies and Development.
Vice President, Critical Infrastructure Programs, Schafer | Belcan Government Services (BGS)
Ron is the Vice President of Critical Infrastructure Programs for Belcan Government Services (BGS). Critical Infrastructure Program of BGS works with clients to provide strategic direction, process-oriented solutions, and focused managed services with expertise in: Cyber Security, Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Shared Service Desk, NOC/SOC, ServiceNow, Cloud, Big Data, Infrastructure Solutions, and Application Development.
Ron is an innovative leader who possesses over 18 years of experience providing strategic direction, process-oriented solutions, and building strong delivery teams.
Prior to joining Belcan, Ron was the Sr. Director of Science and Engineering for The Kemtah Group; providing IT services for Government Agencies, National Laboratories, and Healthcare. He successfully created and implemented IT Services focused on improving the end user experience and helping CEO’s reduce unnecessary cost and improve challenged functional areas and groups.
Prior to joining The Kemtah Group, Ron was a Vice President within Citigroup’s Service Excellence group responsible for rolling out processes focused on ITIL best practices, creating a business intelligence team focused on meaningful and actionable metrics, and many other leadership roles within Citi’s Consumer Lending IT organization.
